HARRISBURG - The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has awarded a $250,000 Local Law Enforcement Grant to the Delaware County District Attorney’s Office, Rep. Chris Quinn (R-Middletown) announced today.

“Support of law enforcement in the communities which are home to Pennsylvania’s casinos is an important component to the success of our gaming control law,” said Quinn. “These funds will assist county law enforcement in fulfilling their mission to protect the quality of life we enjoy in Delco.”

The $250,000 grant will fund:
    • Salaries and benefits for one county detective and one assistant district attorney.
    • Overtime for undercover investigation.
    • Miscellaneous expenses such as the storage of slot machines and undercover costs.
    • Costs of auditing the grant, which are not to exceed 2% of the grant award.

“Our state’s gaming establishments were hit hard by the pandemic-related restrictions,” said Quinn. “There were concerns about the future of programs like this.”

“This grant is an affirmation of the value of programs like the Local Law Enforcement grants and the work done by the dedicated men and women of the Delaware County District Attorney’s Office.”
